Reiki Distant Healing

Distant Healing, as the name suggests, indicates healing that takes place from a distance. IE. You do not have to be present in the therapist's office to receive the healing energy. Odd as that might sound to some of us, 'over the past 40 years, more than 150 formal, controlled studies of distant healing have been published, more than two-thirds of them showing significant effects (a less than one-in-twenty likelihood of the effect having occurred by chance; in scientific terminology, p< .05)'.

Reiki is a powerful Japanese form of energy work to direct 'Ki' (Life Energy) to the recipient and can be performed either in-person or from a distance, therefore being very suitable for Distant Healing. At Healing the Eye and Wellness Center, Tara Howe, Reiki Master, performs the Distant Healing sessions.

Ideally, a photograph or a hair sample of the person seeking Distant Healing is provided to the Reiki Master. This photograph/sample is held between the practitioner's hands while she sends the Reiki energy into that photograph/sample, and consequently, over a distance to the physical being of that person.

There have been some plausible scientific theories proposed for how this might work. One idea takes into account the principles of Quantum Mechanics, specifically, the principle of non-locality. Non-locality involves the capacity for an atom to exist in several locations at the same time, and moreover, the theory suggests what happens to one atom in one place will affect the other atoms at their different locations. Reiki, then, can be sent within this non-linear framework as though the person was physically present rather than at a distance. Another theory suggests that the Reiki energy is akin to the Scalar Wave, a wave that does not have a velocity and who's effects do not diminish with distance (thereby allowing for the distance between the healer and the receiver).

Distant healing can be used by anyone at anytime as reinforcement in a healing program.
More specifically, however, you might consider distant healing for added support with difficult emotional traumas or when regular treatment seems ineffective.
