Eye Exams detect early signs of neurological disease.
Eye exams utilizing Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) can detect early signs of MS and other neurological problems including Altzheimer’s disease. OCT is a non invasive test using low levels of light to measure the nerve fiber layer inside the eye. In many neurological diseases there is a reduction in the thickness of the nerve fiber layer. A reduced thickness can be an important warning sign for your health. The first step if you have a reduced NFL thickness is to reduce your toxic exposure both in your diet and those in your environment. We have been using OCT in our practice for the past year.
AVOID
Petroleum based skin products!
Did you know that the surface of your
skin has one of the highest concentrations of neurological tissue. What
you put on your skin is absorbed into your brain and nerves. I am advising all of my patients to avoid petroleum based skin products.
Petroleum oil which is a by product of gasoline is found in most
over the counter skin care products.. These total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) compounds affect your central nervous
system! One compound can cause headaches and dizziness
at high levels in the air. Another compound can cause a nerve disorder
called "peripheral neuropathy," consisting of numbness
in the feet and legs. Other TPH compounds can cause effects on the
blood, immune system, lungs, skin, and eyes.
Animal studies have shown effects on the lungs, central nervous system, liver, and kidney from exposure to TPH compounds. Some TPH compounds have also been shown to affect reproduction and the developing fetus in animals.

Asthma
Drug linked to cataract risk
Patients
that took inhaled corticosteroids which are used to treat asthma
and other lung diseases, were 24% more likely to develop a cataract
than patients who didn't a recent
Canadian study found. The
study published in the June 2006 European Respiratory Journal looked
at the medical records of more that 100.000 patients with either
asthma or COPD. More than 10,000 patients studied eventual
developed a cataract. Each
patient who took only 1/2 the normal
dose had an increase risk of a cataract.
The researchers recommended that patients take the smallest possible dose of corticosteroids and consider using there prescriptions when they're an option to reduce their risk of cataract.
As a homeopathic doctor I advise patients to avoid steroids at all costs! Steroids are suppressive and go against the body’s natural healing process. Homeopathic studies have documented that steroids push disease deeper into the body often resulting is more serious problems. An example is a child with eczema who after being treated with steroids develops asthma.

are sloughed off. Each cell discards about 7% of its lipid membrane
stack each day. The entire photo-receiving structure is regenerated
every 14 days!
PC directly up-regulates the fluidity of the membrane, improving its vitality which is essential for all of metabolism including neuronal transmission. Poor neuronal response is degraded in all the neurological disorders and is directly improved with Phosphatidylcholine (PC) therapy.
