Dangers of Corn Fructose!

Why I stopped using Heinz Ketchup! Having spent a good part of life in Pittsburgh, PA the home of Heinz Ketchup I developed a strong taste for this wonderful condiment. I was shocked when I recently read the Ketchup label. “High Fructose Corn Syrup” as an ingredient. The dangers of high fructose corn syrup are too great even to be consumed in a small amount of Ketchup!

2. High Fructose Corn Syrup is far from being natural as it takes high heat, 3 different enzymes and 5 different processes to create it. Because of this processing some recent studies have shown that most high fructose corn syrup contains mercury.

3. The introduction of High Fructose Corn Syrup into society coincides with the beginning of the obesity epidemic. As HFCS became more widely used, the rate of obesity climbed as well, bringing with it all those obesity related problems like diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Anything sweetened with high fructose corn syrup should be labeled “artificially sweetened”. High Fructose Corn Syrup does not occur in nature and it is genetically modified!
